Introduction
Mates & Me provides Chrome browser extensions that support vacation-rental discovery, direct-booking matching, and property-linking workflows on supported travel and accommodation websites.
These extensions may help users discover connected direct-booking websites, identify matching Airbnb and direct-booking listings, capture publicly visible property information for matching workflows, and transfer search dates and guest information between supported booking websites.
Information the Extension May Access
The extensions may access publicly visible information on supported travel and accommodation websites, including listing URLs, listing IDs, search dates, guest counts, property titles and descriptions, publicly visible property images, bedroom, bathroom, and guest-capacity information, host or property profile information, and page URLs necessary for extension functionality.
The extension does not access or collect passwords, payment card information, banking information, private messages, email contents, sensitive personal information, or information from unrelated websites.
Information Sent to Mates & Me
To provide core functionality, the extensions may securely send limited listing-related and technical information to Mates & Me servers, including listing URLs, listing IDs, search dates, guest counts, property titles and metadata, publicly visible property image URLs, property matching workflow information, extension interaction events, anonymous or pseudonymous diagnostic information, and browser or device technical information.
This information is used only for operating, improving, securing, and analyzing the extensions and related services. Mates & Me does not sell personal information to third parties.
Local Browser Storage
The extensions may use local browser storage to temporarily cache property matches, workflow progress, or extension settings in order to improve performance and user experience. Cached information remains stored locally within the user's browser and may expire automatically after a period of time.
Analytics and Click Tracking
The extension may collect limited interaction analytics, including clicks on connected booking links, match success rates, general extension usage metrics, property matching workflow events, and performance diagnostics.
When users open connected booking websites through the extension, Mates & Me may append limited tracking parameters, such as UTM parameters, to URLs in order to measure extension performance, understand aggregate traffic sources, and improve matching quality and user experience. These tracking parameters are not used for advertising networks or third-party behavioral advertising.
Data Sharing
Mates & Me does not sell personal information, share personal information with advertising networks, or use extension data for third-party marketing purposes. Information may be shared with service providers or infrastructure providers solely as necessary to operate the extensions and related services.
